HALLOWEEN
HALLOWEEN
Halloween is a celebration on October 31st. It is celebrated in the United States , Canada and Great Britain .It is Celtic origin. Halloween or Hallowe'en (a contraction of All Hallows' Evening),] also known as Allhalloween All Hallows' Eve, or All Saints' Eve, is a celebration observed in a number of countries on 31 October, the eve of the Western Christian feast of All Hallows' Day. It begins the three-day observance of Allhallowtide, the time in the liturgical year dedicated to remembering the dead, including saints (hallows),martyrs, and all the faithful departed.
Halloween is a time of pumpkins, candies, ghosts and witches. People dress up as ghosts, witches, or other terrifying things and go to spooky parties. People decorate their houses with Jack-o'-Lanterns as well as they light bonfires to scare ghosts away.
Children wear their costumes and go "Trick or treat!" from door to door. People give them goodies like candies or money. If not, the children play a trick on them."For example, they write on windows with soap as well as they throw eggs or flour on cars or walls.
This year we, the students who are in the fifth grade, organized the celebration of Halloween in our school. We curved a pumpkin into into Jack-o'-Lantern.We painted our faces and dressed up as spiders, bats, witches, magicians, skeletons and other things. After that we went from classroom to classroom asking "Trick or treat". Some classes treated us sweets and some others refused to treat us. So we messed up their classrooms throwing soap bubbles, confetti and spiders in their classrooms. We also painted children’s hands and faces. Besides, the other classes took part in the celebration drawing, playing games or watching videos. It was an unforgettable experience. We will remember this day for ever. You can enjoy a few of these moments in the pictures below.
